what does this sensor do?

the sensor located near the coolent fluid filler. the sensor can be removed and be atached in other position. there is position A and position B?

what this sensor do?
in what position should it be, A or B?

Its a switch too chose between to injection programms.
It is used for different country's and it has to do with the exhaust emissions and the regulations in different country's.
Just leave it the way it was.

It won't give you +100 Bhp :lol:

im the 4 th owner of this car. :? so i don't know if the past owners changed something there.
now it's on B. i use 95 octane benzine.
should i live it at B?

if it runs fine, leave it. The right position difference from country to country.

Sort of fuel has nothing to do with it, because the engine can detect the sort of fuel itself.

Is that for all C engines the case? I remember reading in my manual that only the 16V engines could autodetect that.

But I agree with Laagvlieger: If it runs OK, don't change a thing.

he is having a 16v, so it autodetects it.
