Hi, This is my GSI with motor C18XE, which will be changed to C25XE. It will change color. The entire rebuilt.

Good Lord Never seen it that worse..
It appears to be a kind of 'trade mark' of an average Astra GSI unfortunately..

Anyway it's a prove of lack of inspection & treatment by the years by previous owner(s) great pity.
Only advantage is you don't have to use that much of cutting discs to get rid of it now..

For the rest, I like your V6 swap..

Keep up the good work, take care. Hope you will leave some genuine GSI looks remaining..

That sill is in the worst shape I've ever seen. And I Thought mine was bad. Not too bad after all comparing to this one.

Great job that you will be restoring this one. Keep it up and do things one step at a time. First get the body in great shape i'd say.
